We finally did our time at the mall to get our Santa pictures. Christopher was so excited he could hardly stand it. I got the picture of Christopher with Santa and they were chatting for a little bit and then Erin & Hannah arrived, so we tossed Hannah in for a quick pic before our turn was over. I think these shots turned out pretty well.

Christopher is 4!

We can hardly believe that it's been four years since our sweet boy arrived. So here's the "then and now":

December 4, 2004 - Christopher James Truitt makes his grand debut.

December 4, 2008 - No longer a baby, but still pretty cute...the one on the right...no, your right...not the gigantic mouse!

"What's for dinner, Mom?" "Fish sticks." "Made from fish?" "That's right." "But that's mean to kill fish!! Poor litte cute fish...." "They're just fish. These are really good with ketchup!"
Matt and Toph were heading back from camping last weekend when they passed a billboard. "'Jesus saves!'", Christopher read. Then: "Huh. Is that some kind of store?"
After I told him my brother in Utah was dealing with a lot of snow the other day, Christopher responded "Well, if I were there, I would eat all the snow. And then it wouldn't be a problem!"
Christopher was setting up a complicated battle scene between his lego soldiers and Star War toys the other day when I called him to come eat breakfast. His response was: "I'll be right there! I just have to finish taking over the world! It won't take long!"
"You are not going to believe this kiss! Hold still!"
"Tastes like sunlight!" His description of bottled water that was warm from sitting in a kayak for a couple of hours.
"I know tummy, I know. I'm trying to get you something to eat. I really am. I know you're hungry!" Christopher's reassurances to his own stomach when he wanted a snack and I told him he needed to wait a few minutes.
Christopher: "Guys are very talky. Girls are not very talky." Me: "Actually, girls are pretty talky. You'll see." Christopher: "No, Mom. No. Guys are talkier-est-er."
"I can't find them, Mom! My eyesight's not too keen!" Thank you, Dr. Seuss. :)
"Oh, yum! You're a really good cooker, Mom!"
